Michelle Hurd talked about Shepherd's next move in "Blindspot" Season 2 after Kurt Weller learned his association with the villain. The actress teased that her character might just succeed in convincing Weller to join Sandstorm and help achieve her plan, if she change her approach with him.
Hurd teased that Shepherd may need to change tactic if she wants to convince Weller to help her achieve her plans. The actress, who plays Shepherd, said that her character would have to find a way to let the FBI see her good intention.
"She has plans for Kurt and he's not playing the way she wants him to, so that's just going to disrupt her master plan, and then she's going to have to make some changes," Hurd told Entertainment Weekly.
Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) is reportedly close to finding out what Shepherd's master plan really is. So far, all the villain ever talked about is going after the government who ruined her life. She wants to make the people responsible suffer, but as to how she plans to do this in a grand scale remain unknown.
Regardless, her master plan somehow involves Weller. All along, Shepherd had high hopes that the FBI would join Sandstorm. The latest episode in "Blindspot" Season 2 revealed just how important Weller is to Sandstorm.
Now, the question is whether Weller agrees to join Sandstorm. After all, he already knows that Shepherd put him in the FBI and orchestrated his life, starting from the academy. Weller might not be too willing to switch loyalties and turn bad
However, Hurd teased this possibility in "Blindspot" Season 2 if the inevitable presents itself to Weller. He would have no choice but to side with Shepherd. Series creator Martin Gero confirmed Hurd's statement in a separate interview with the publication. He said that Weller will "have no choice but to join her."
