Recent leaked photos for "The Flash" Season 3 revealed the return of Savitar. The images also show Jesse Quick confronting the villain speedster for reasons still unknown.
Several photos from the set of "The Flash" Season 3 in Vancouver have surfaced on social media. Most of these images feature only Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) confronting what appears to be the God of Speed.
According to Comicbook, the stuntman wearing the enormous costume certainly looks like Savitar. The figure also has the iconic luminous blue costume the villain wore in previous episodes of "The Flash" Season 3.
It remains unclear why Jesse Quick is with Savitar and where this confrontation takes place. Fans already know that Jesse is from Earth 2. Likewise, as far as viewers know, Savitar is gone since the Philosopher's Stone is already in the Speed Force.
However, these behind-the-scenes photos for "The Flash" Season 3 clearly confirm the return of the God of Speed. Jesse Quick and Savitar confront each other and seems it does not end well for the speedster. One photo shows Jesse Quick face down on the ground.
It is interesting to point out the weapon that Jesse Quick held on to as she approached Savitar. Twitter users commented that perhaps it is the Spear of Destiny. Meanwhile, others said this confrontation between Savitar and Jesse Quick happens in "The Flash" Season 3 episode 15.
Hollywoodnorth.buzz previously revealed that "The Flash" Season 3 episode 15 features Iris' death scene. Perhaps this is why Savitar is back, to fulfill the vision that Barry saw in the future. However, the presence of the Spear of Destiny brings an interesting speculation that perhaps The Flash and Kid Flash do not save Iris. Instead, Jesse saves her by changing the reality using the spear.
Regardless, it is still too early to tell what happens with Savitar and Jesse Quick's confrontation. Likewise, details about "The Flash" Season 3 episode 15 so far only confirmed that Iris' death scene in the hands of the villain will be revisited.
