HBO's hit show "VICE" Season 5 will premiere very soon. To excite fans, the network has released a new trailer that features a K-Pop tune on the backdrop. iKON's Bobby has his song "Holup!" playing as the background music for "VICE" Season 5.
HBO released the new trailer for "VICE" Season 5 on Jan. 19 and fans were quick to notice that iKON's Bobby could be heard rapping in the background, Koreaboo reported. "VICE" is a series that revolves around global events and cultures around the world. Bobby's song, "Holup!" perfectly matched the mood of the trailer as it showed quick clips of world events.
Meanwhile, iKON will be making a comeback early this year, together with fellow YG Entertainment artist WINNER. According to allkpop, WINNER and iKON's comebacks will come after Akdong Musician's January 2017 comeback. However, the exact release date, order and album format for WINNER's and iKON's comebacks have not yet been confirmed.
YG Entertainment received backlash from fans after many complained about WINNER and iKON's lack of promotional activities. In response to the complaints Yang Hyun Suk said, "You may not see them much in Korea, but iKON has become veterans in performing after building up their experiences through a 6-month-long Japanese tour, much like Big Bang."
He added that both groups have been working on numerous songs throughout last year, and most of these will be included in the group's respective albums. The only challenge for them now is to carefully select which songs to add in their comeback albums.
"The groups we will be focussing on this year are WINNER and iKON. Before the end of March, you'll be able to hear new releases from the two teams," Yang Hyun Suk added.
iKON's latest album is "Welcome Back," which was released in 2015.
