ZE:A has been linked to disbandment rumors since the beginning of the year. The reports came after Star Empire Entertainment revealed that the members are still undecided whether or not to re-sign with the label this year.

"After the past 7 years, our exclusive contracts with ZE:A will end on January 6, 2017. ZE:A are currently busy working through projects and fixed spots on variety shows," the label previously announced.

Several sources affiliated with the band said ZE:A members have already started scouting for agencies even before their contracts ended as per Soompi. Despite reports, Star Empire Entertainment said they will continue to support the boy group regardless of their decision.

At the time of writing, Star Empire Entertainment has yet to confirm if ZE:A will continue to promote as a boy group. In fact, rumor has it that Siwan and Hyungsik are planning to promote as actors under their newest agencies.

According to Allkpop, the two ZE:A members have been receiving acting offers since the disbandment rumors started. Hence, Siwan allegedly has decided to sign with BH Entertainment, while Hyungsik was rumored to have joined Key East Entertainment.

However, both BH Entertainment and Key East Entertainment denied the rumors and said they have not signed ZE:A's Siwan and Hyungsik.

Meanwhile, fans thought both ZE:A members would make a good actor considering their drama projects. Siwan previously appeared in "Pure Love," "Reply 1997" and "Moon Embracing The Sun," while Hyungsik showcased his acting in "High Society," "The Heirs" and "What Happens To My Family."

Not only that, the two even earned recognitions for their talent in acting. Siwan was awarded with Excellent Actor (mini series) and Best New Actor for playing as Jang Geu Rae in "Misaeng." Hyungsik earned the same titles for "High Society" and "What Happens To My Family," respectively.
