Emilia Clarke, who is known as the Mother of Dragons in "Game of Thrones," has been confirmed to star the upcoming US remake of "The Beauty Inside," a Korean romantic comedy film that was released in 2015.

According to Koreaboo, Fox 2000 closed a $2 million deal for the adaptation of the Korean film. "The Beauty Inside" follows the life of a man who finds himself in a different body upon waking up.

Actors Han Hyo Joo and Kim Dae Myung starred the Korean film, alongside Park Shin Hye, Do Ji Han, Lee Beom Soo and several artists who played as the shapeshifters of Woo Jin.

THR stated "The Beauty Inside" was based on an American social film of the same title. The six-part web series of Drake Doremus featured Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Topher Grace.

The 2012 social film became an instant hit and was even awarded with a daytime Emmy for Outstanding New Approach to an Original Daytime Program or Series. In fact, five big companies eyed for the US remake of "The Beauty Inside."

Universal, Lionsgate, Sony, New Line and STX placed their bids for the adaptation; however, Fox 2000 won the bidding on Wednesday. The American film distributor will work hand and hand with Temple Hill for the project.

Further reports said "The Beauty Inside" will be written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, who are known for fronting the film adaptation of John Green's best-selling book "The Fault in our Stars."

The US remake will be produced by Greg Chou of Rumble Entertainment, while Doris Pfardrescher will work as the executive producer of "The Beauty Inside." On the other hand, Emelia Clarke will take the female lead, while no actors have been confirmed to play the male lead as of the moment.

The 30-year-old rose to popularity for her role on HBO's "Game of Thrones." Aside from that, Emilia Clarke was also commended for her acting in "Me Before You.
