It's been almost 7 years since the last time seen the Skate series with the Skate 3 that was released back in 2010. A teased message via a Twitter post with hashtag Skate4 was seen around, leading to a massive speculation that "Skate 4" is about to come.

Several fans have been demanding for the 4th Skate title for years now and it may seem that the Skate series has ended until the teased "Skate 4" message was sent in the social media. Hashtag Skate4 is the only proof so far that the Skate series is about to rise again as per the Game Rant said.

According to the Metro, the Skate 3 title has been a successful title since it was released back in 2010. The Skateboarding video game got a score of 8 out of 10 from various video game critics, leading to an expected next title, unfortunately, it was never seen.

Skate 3 was a fan-based video game, since there are only few skateboarders or just a skateboard fan around the world. Skate 3 has been a fan-favorite since day 1 of its launch, that it actually beats its competitor, the Tony Hawk Pro series.

Due to its popularity, the Skate 3 title went to a re-issue process back in 2014. It was also known to be the most requested game for the Xbox backwards compatibility during that time.

It has been said that one of the reasons why the Skate series was stopped was due to the failed attempts of producing the game annually. EA was reportedly planning to release a sequel every year after Skate 2 back in 2009, but after Skate 3, the developer failed to produce the next title, which is supposed to be in 2011.

Skate 3 series had a very similar gameplay to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series. Skate 3 also features some of the best skateboard athletes around the world such as Erik Koston and Jason Lee. The last skate title adds up the Skate Park feature, similar to the Tony Hawk Pro Skater, it allows the players to create their own custom skate park.

With no official confirmation yet from the original developer Electronic Arts, "Skate 4" title will still hang in the rafters. Seeing the Skate4 message, it definitely brings a lot of hope to the fans that the game will be back in no time.
