"Valkyrie Profile" has been one of the hit RPGs released for the PlayStation back when it was released in 1999. While there hasn't been any sequel for the big console, Square Enix has released its prequel "Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin" for iOS and Android in Japan and it has been doing well there.

Based on the earlier reports from DualShockers, "Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin" seems to boast charming visuals, a solid battle system, and great music. And it seems that the game has brand new characters in the entire lore of the game such as a new Valkryie named Hakurei. Being a new entry, she will be designed by the original "Valkyrie Profile" character designer himself, Ko Yoshinari.

Prior to that character, we're getting Princess Alicia (who was only available for a limited time only) from who originally appeared in "Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria" displaying her prowess of the shield and sword and Silmeria, another of the notable Valkyries in the series.

Working on the "Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin" are the original staff who worked on the original "Valkyrie Profile" game including Producer Yoshinori Yamagishi and composer Motoi Sakuraba. ADditionally, the publisher also announced that "Valkyrie Anatomia: The Origin" has already surpassed two million downloads in Japan, according to a more recent report from DualShockers.

To celebrate, Square Enix will be giving away goodies and hold events. Players will awarded with 2,000 secret stones starting on Jan. 29, with additional 200 each day starting on Jan. 30, with the daily accomplishment of special missions. Additionally, on Jan. 29 also, there will be an increase of drop rate of orbs, magic stones and experience within the game's quests, as well as prices for the players in Twitter starting on Feb. 6.
