CL received a huge amount of criticism for her now-deleted Instagram post, which was deemed disrespectful by the netizens.

According to Allkpop, netizens were angered when the former 2NE1 member posted a photo of her boots just behind the taxi driver's head. Reports stated the photo was taken when the singer was in Japan.

While the intention of the photo was to showcase her silver footwear, alongside Yoon's pair of black boots, many netizens took offense of CL's post.

Some of them stated that it was impolite for the singer to do such act, especially that she was in a foreign country. "Who cares if you have money, you have to be a person first," a commenter wrote.

"I don't think some of you people realize this car is this man's workplace. This is just as rude as putting your feet on the furniture in someone's office or putting your feet on the seats of a public transport vehicle," another netizen said.

While many netizens were offended by CL's act, there were also netizens who stood by the singer and denied that the singer was being rude in the photo. "This is not something that we can decide on, if the driver didn't mind then it is probably fine," a netizen wrote.

After drawing flak for her Instagram post, CL immediately deleted the photo from her account as per Koreaboo. Despite the controversy, the former 2NE1 member continued to share snippets from her Japan activities.

Just recently, the idol shared a photo of herself showing off her silver boots and heart-shaped sunglasses. CL then tagged Taeyang in her caption, stating that Japan is missing the artist.
