‘Shades of Blue’ Season 2 cast member photos released; NBC Entertainment president excited for Season 2

It was last March 2016 when the crime drama television series "Shades of Blue" concluded its first season. Since the second installment is already confirmed, recent reports claim that the latest photos of the cast of Season 2 are out with some new cast members.

According to E News, the entertainment news site exclusively acquired numerous images of "Shades of Blue" Season 2. There is an image of Jennifer Lopez who plays the lead protagonist, Harlee Santos - a single mom and an efficient detective. A photo of Matt Wozniak who plays the corrupt commander Ray Liotta is also present.

Other confirmed cast members are Warren Kole, Drea de Matteo, Dayo Okeniyi, Vincent Laresca, Gino Anthony Pesi, Hampton Fluker and Sarah Jeffrey. The released photos also introduced the guest stars that fans should watch out for in "Shades of Blue" Season 2. The guest stars on the series' second season run included Anna Gunn ("Breaking Bad"), who will fill the role of Julia Ayres, a member of the team in the past and is now aspiring to be the city mayor. Dov Davidoff will also join the cast as an IAB detective.

The same report also cited the average rating of the series' first season. It was said that "Shades of Blue" Season 1 had an average rating of 2.3 from 99 million viewers in the demographic profile of 18-49 years old.

On the other note, the president of NBC entertainment, Jennifer Salke, thanked Lopez for the actress/ producer of the series' hard effort in making the show successful, Return Dates reported. The president added that they would also want to thank the other members of the show, including the producers and the cast members for working extra hard. Salke also admitted that she is excited about the second season, and she is sure that "Shades of Blue" Season 2 will be much more impressive.

It has been confirmed that "Shades of Blue" Season 2 is expected to premiere on March 5.
