"Goblin" ended with a bang on Saturday after setting a new record as the highest rated tvN drama, dethroning title holder "Reply 1988." However, the Gong Yoo starrer fantasy series was recently mired in controversy for its "Round and Round" OST.

The controversy started when fans took notice of Heize's part in the final OST of the drama series. Reports stated "Goblin" followers were expecting to hear more of Han Soo Ji in "Round and Round"; however, many of them were dismayed upon learning that the singer was just a feature artist for the track.

In an official statement, CJ E&M clarified the full version of "Round and Round" was written by Nam Hye Seung. It said Han Soo Ji was chosen to sing the first 50 seconds of the song to attract the viewers as per Soompi.

However, Nam Hye Seung reportedly have decided the singer of the song before it was even selected as "Goblin's" OST. Hence, Heize can be heard singing the rest of the 3-minute song.

"Because there were requests to release "Round and round," Heize participated in singing the rest of the song. This was the song's original conception at the time it was written," CJ E&M said in a dispatch.

The company continued there were changes in the length of the song to fit the requirement, yet, CJ E&M clarified no modifications were made for Han Soo Ji's part in "Round and Round."

CJ E&M said they will consider the suggestions of "Goblin" fans who are calling out for the release of Han Soo Ji's 50-second part in the song. The company ended their statement with an apology to both Heize and Han Soo Ji who were affected of the issue.

On the other hand, Heize took to her SNS account to address issues that she stole the "Goblin" OST from Han Soo Ji. According to Allkpop, the rapper clarified she was asked to participate in the full version of "Round and Round."

"It appears when the official full version was released, it contained not only my voice but was mixed in with the one used in the drama. Thus, I became the main artist and the other artist's vocals was used as the pitch," she said, apologizing to fans for the confusion.
