With Naughty Dog getting high praises for its awesome job with "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," does this mean a long wait for the next "Uncharted" title? Not exactly, but it does look like the studio's getting its installment in the series - in the form of a spinoff. With the main titles having Nathan Drake as the series' beloved protagonist, it looks we're getting Chloe Frazer as the spinoff's adventurous dare devil this time and she's looking pretty good for the role.

In a recent interview with Playstation Magazine UK, creative director Shaun Escayg commented that the spinoff "Uncharted: Lost Legacy" will be set in the majestic outskirts of India. ""India's got a really nice iconography: hidden temples and weird deities we can play off of, so it's a perfect setting for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy," stated the creative director.

Due to Chloe Frazer's outstanding performances in "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" and "Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception," she will be donning the role of archeological adventurer along with her partner Nadine Ross, the Shoreline leader from "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." In terms of gameplay, though, there will be a little distinction from the main series.

"I would say we're going a little more wide this time," according to game director Kurt Margenau. "I don't want to give too much away, but it's something we are excited about on the gameplay side, this kind of contrast of an urban setting and a rural setting; a tighter experience and more open experience."

Are they opting for an open-world style of gameplay? Because we can all imagine an "Assassin's Creed" or "Rise of the Tomb Raider" style of exploration. This would be exciting for "Uncharted" fans since it would give them a chance to explore the world in search of hidden treasures.

Originally, "Uncharted: Lost Legacy" was meant to be a DLC but plans for it eventually changed. "It started as DLC...we needed a longer time for the story to develop," confessed Escayg. "And now I would say it's a story expansion.  That's how we're terming it."

So far, those seem to be the only details at the moment. We'll update you as soon as we hear more. In the meantime, how about a little trailer to build up more hype for the fans?

In other news, MyEntertainmentWorld reports that the "Uncharted" movie has already begun scheduling its production sometime in Spring in Columbia. The film's story will be following most of the first installment's plot and written by Joe Carnahan ("The A-Team," "The Grey," "Smokin' Aces," and "The Blacklist") and directed by Shawn Levy ("Night At The Museum," "Real Steel," "Date Night," and "Stranger Things").

There hasn't been any mention of a release date yet.
