26th Seoul Music Awards list of winners; EXO won the Daesang for the 4th time while BTS bagged 4 Major trophies

The 2017 Seoul Music Awards just concluded last night, Jan. 19 at the Seoul Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium. It was a star-studded event as almost all of the current trending musicians and artists are present in the awards ceremony.

Some of the winners of grand awards are expected while some others came in as a surprised. Moreover, the stage presentations were awesome and the performers surely made the occasion an exhilarating night.

The winners of the 26th Seoul Music Awards were chosen based on mobile/online voting by fans (30%), judges (30%), Sports Seoul's poll (10%) and finally the album sales and digital downloads fills in the remaining 40 percent of the total score. On the other hand, the Popularity Award winners were 100 percent selected via popularity voting.

The awards night was hosted by Super Junior's Kim Heechul along with TV personality Tak Jae Hoon and I.O.I's Jeon Somi. The lineup of performers include Sechs Kies, EXO, BTS, Block B, GOT 7, MOBB, VIXX, MAMAMOO, TWICE, Red Velvet, GFriend, Black Pink, Seventees, WJSN, NCT 127, Han Dong Geun, Gummy, Taeyeon, Tae JinAh and Jang KiHa & the Faces.

At any rate, as mentioned on OSEN, below are the 2017 Seoul Music Awards list of winners:

Daesang Award was won by EXO for the fourth time while BTS received the Record of the Year for the "Wings" track. For Bonsang or Excellence Award, the winners are Zico, Girls Generation's Taeyeon, EXO, Sech Skies, BTS, VIXX, GOT7, G-Friend, MAMAMOO, Red Velvet, Seventeen and TWICE.

This year's Rookie of the Year trophies went to BLACKPINK, I.O.O and NCT 127. While they did not win the Grand Prize, BTS took home most of the awards which include the Best Performance, Best Music Video and Best Male Dance.

In addition, the Hip Hop Award was bagged by MOBB (Song Minho & Boby) and the Digital Song of the Year was TWICE's "Cheer Up." Boy group ASTRO was awarded the Hallyu Special Award ans Shinee got the Mobile Popularity Award.

The rest of the awardees are Baek Ah Yeon (R&B/Ballad Award), Gummy (OST Award), Tae Jin Ah (Trot Award), Jang Ki Ha & the Faces (Best Band), Cosmic Girls and Han Dong Geun (EPK Discovery Award) and finally, Silento & Punch (Global Collaboration Award).
