Jerry Seinfeld's popular comedy talk show "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" will soon be part of the streaming giant Netflix. Aside from the extensive and extremely funny library of his show, Seinfeld also agreed for a two exclusive specials.

Jumping to Netflix

Netflix continues to attract comedians to their streaming service and the latest is one of the biggest names in comedy. Jerry Seinfeld has agreed to transfer his online streaming show "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" to Netflix after nine seasons with Crackle - an online streaming service by Sony. According to Wall Street Journal, the upcoming season (season 10) will jump to Netflix along with its previous episodes.

For the unfamiliar, "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" is a simple online talk show. Jerry picks them up in a classic car where they first drive around and eventually talk over different topics over coffee. More often than not, his guests are comedians (as the name suggests) but other personalities have appeared in the show including President Barack Obama.

Big Numbers Involved

Seinfeld's transfer to Netflix actually means big bucks for both sides. According to Forbes, the comedian is about to earn more than what he had from Sony's deal. Although the amount was not disclosed, Sony originally paid $500,000 per episode which means Seinfeld should get more just to transfer. The deal doesn't even include the specials and he's set to earn a separate amount for the performance.

The comedy talk show series is expected to produce 24 new episodes and they are expected to premiere before the year ends. The release date for Jerry's exclusive specials are still unknown.

The deal with Netflix will certainly place Jerry at par with some of the biggest comedians today. Aside from his online comedy talk show, Seinfeld is still cashing in from his extremely popular sitcom "Seinfeld."
