Netflix's upcoming Marvel show "The Defenders" is poised to become one of this year's biggest shows. The superhero ensemble series is beginning to stir a huge buzz since a lot of fans are excited to see how all the different flavors of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will mix into one superb concoction. Actor Charlie Cox reveals one common thread that will bind the reluctant quartet.

Each of the Marvel shows on Netflix has a different tone and aesthetic. The characters in themselves are completely different from one another in terms of their philosophies and principles. Actress Krysten Ritter described the group as a "reluctant team-up" wherein no one's best friends with anyone. Although that may be a problem at first, Cox explained that there's one special thing that they all have in common.

"In some ways paradoxically, these great powers are also our great shame. These characters are living with a shame and a loneliness and have felt kind of ostracized," Cox explained to Entertainment Weekly. He added that all four Defenders feel as though they are freaks that are misunderstood.

The eight-episodes for the first season of "The Defenders" doesn't sound a lot, considering that you have four equally awesome main protagonists that viewers have to pay attention. Additionally, there's the mysterious villain Sigourney Weaver will be playing. So how did showrunner Marco Ramirez manage to bring a huge ensemble in a small canvass without making them all seem cramped?

"The Defenders" showrunner Marco Ramirez told Entertainment Weekly that he took notes from "Sons of Anarchy." The Charlie Hunnam-starrers's "run and gun" action has inspired "The Defenders." Ramirez teased that every episode of "The Defenders" will start with adrenaline and end with adrenaline.

Marvel's "The Defenders" will premiere on Netflix this summer 2017.
