Alan Tudyk is welcomed to the hit DC Comics comedy, "Powerless," as Batman's troublesome cousin Vanderveer Wayne.

As IGN cited, Entertainment Weekly reported that Vanderveer will be introduced as the cousin of the superhero who happens to be the latter's exact opposite. Accordingly, He will be the head of the Wayne Security, a division of Wayne Enterprises specializing in technology, with the objective of protecting the humanity from those with superpowers. Technically, the company takes charge of the insurance of the citizens from the collateral damage they suffer because of the constant fights between the superheroes and the villains.

TV Line shared how his character is like: "Our products are powerless," Wayne declares to his employees. So much for that motto on the wall about changing the world. "That came with the office," Van reveals. "This used to be a diaper company." Also, Van has an obsession of hanging large pictures of himself and calling his cousin B Dubs.

Along with Tudyk, the show also brings Vanessa Hudgens as Emily Locke, the Director of Research and Development at Wayne Security. In the story, Hudgens' character landed work in the company full of confidence to bring her ideas into action, only to realize that her role is far more than fixing claims, but actually showing the rest of her colleagues that having superpowers is not the sole way to be a hero.

According to the Comic Book, this new revelation is an attempt to revamp the series. Alan Tudyk a.k.a. Firefly in the movie "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," has an original character name Del Heller, but later on become Van Wayne.

Other cast members include Danny Pudi, Christina Kirk, and Ron Funches. "Powerless" will executively produce by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumaker, Len Goldstein, Marc Buckland and Dean Lorey. For those uninitiated, "Powerless," originally created by Ben Queen, is a comedy series in the universe of DC Comics. The show is about quirky employees in an insurance company responsible for fixing damages done by the superheroes and the villains.

"Powerless" will be available on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 8:30/7:30c on NBC.
