The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is now out in the United States after first releasing in the greater part of Asia. For those who are looking for a mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy J7 Prime would be a good choice. Here are seven more reasons why Samsung's mid-range flagship device is worth the money, though.

Added ease and security with fingerprint scanner

It is unusual for mid-range phones to come with a fingerprint scanner. But Samsung breaks tradition by doing just that. With a fingerprint scanner, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is made handier because it is easier to access all sort of applications. It offers a form of security, too especially when making payments using smartphones.

Budget friendly

As a mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy J7 Prime is without a doubt budget-friendly. It is not as expensive as its other Samsung Galaxy cousins but it has just the right specs and features to boot. This makes the phone well-fit for those who are budget-conscious.

Elegant design

Compared to earlier models in the Galaxy J series, the Galaxy J7 Prime does not feel like it is made of plastic. Instead, the Prime of the J series sports a metal unibody design that is smooth up front up to the back. At a quick glance, the design Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime looks similar to top-selling handsets found in the more expensive Galaxy S series.

Excellent display

The Samsung Galaxy J7 has an excellent display with a 5.5-inch screen. It also packs a whopping 1080x1920 pixel resolution, which ensures that consumers enjoy a great viewing experience watching movies or playing games. The only downside some might find with the J7 Prime is that it has a TFT capacitive touchscreen instead of the customary AMOLED display of Samsung phones.

Impressive cameras

As Slash Gear noted, one of the best features of Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is its camera. The phone's main camera is a 13-megapixel snapper with f/1.9 aperture lens. The front camera has an 8-megapixel sensor and the same aperture lens. With the addition of an LED flash and different camera settings, snapping pictures with the J7 Prime would make for beautiful photos.

Long battery life

With 3300mAh battery power, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has enough juice to last consumers all day. The J7 Prime's battery can work for hours even when users watch plenty of videos, do heavy gaming or listen to a lengthy playlist. Not all mid-range handset have a battery life as long as the J7 Prime so it is a definite win-win for consumers who wish to buy this phone.

Powerful processor

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is powered by Exynos 7870 Octa SoC chipset running at speeds of 1.6Hz and a Mali-T830MP2 GPU. With these internals, the J7 Prime is not likely to lag even if there are multiple applications running on it. On top of that is 3GB worth of RAM. Gamers and heavy phone users will enjoy the smooth experience that this phone's processing power definitely provides.

Yibada reported some time ago that the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is now available in the U.S. for orders through Amazon and was first released in Asian markets like India, Philippines and Vietnam.
