The Memphis Grizzlies (25-18) will visit the Washington Wizards (21-19) at the Verizon Center on Jan. 18, Wednesday as the 2016-2017 NBA regular season moves forward.

Memphis is struggling right now with two losses in their last three matches. Despite that, the team remained in the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings, tied with the Oklahoma City Thunder, 11 games behind West leaders Golden State Warriors.

The Grizzlies are coming off a close 108-104 loss to the Chicago Bulls at their own home court of FedExForum on Sunday night, as per Local Memphis.

Mike Conley top-scored for head coach David Fizdale's squad with 28 points, five rebounds, eight assists, and two steals. Marc Gasol had a double-double of 24 points and 11 boards with three assists, one steal, and one block while JaMychal Green added 14 points and five rebounds in only 20 minutes.

Zach Randolph came off the bench to score 15 points and haul down a monstrous 16 rebounds while veteran Vince Carter chipped in 10 points and two assists playing 31 minutes.

Meanwhile, Washington is rising at the moment with a two-game winning run and five wins in their last six outings. The team is settled in the fifth place in the Eastern Conference table, tied with the Indiana Pacers and eight games behind defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Wizards routed the Portland Trail Blazers, 120-101, during their most recent game on Monday also at the Verizon Center, the Washington Post reported.

Bradley Beal led the squad with 25 points, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals while backcourt partner John Wall produced 24 points, four boards, seven assists, and two steals.

Starters Markieff Morris and Otto Porter Jr. also scored in double figures with 17 and 12 points respectively with the former also grabbing 13 rebounds.

Kelly Oubre Jr. led the bench with 18 points, four boards, and two assists while Tomas Satoransky chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists also as a substitute.

Prediction 

The Grizzlies are 11-10 on the road this season while the Wizards are 17-6 at home. Washington is favored to win a third straight lopsided game versus Memphis.
