"Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" Episode 20 opened with an intense fight between President Do and Teacher Kim. During the reception where people at the hospital celebrated Teacher Kim's successful artificial heart replacement surgery, he exposed President Do's deep dark secret.
Teacher Kim showed a list of people who performed ghost surgery. President Do insisted that it was pure speculation and the document have no legal bearing.
During the fight, a glass statue fell to Teacher Kim and he ended up hurting his wrist and head. Dr. Kang and Seo Hyun rushed the unconscious Teacher Kim to the Geodae Hospital where his wounds were treated. They were worried about him but he would not let them know the result of his X-ray.
Teacher Kim assured the doctors that the result of the X-ray only indicates a simple contusion. However, Dr. Kang thought it is more severe. Seo Hyun is also worried about her mentor but Teacher Kim assured he is okay. She remembered the day Teacher Kim treated her wounds and the many times he says he is okay.
Seo Hyun and Dr. Kang could help but worry because they saw an orthopedist and a neurosurgeon come out of Teacher's Kim ward. Meanwhile, President Do's son In Beom wants to live as himself and not as President Do's son.
Master Kim have faith in young doctors who want to be good than those who run after money. The last few moments were quite emotional as Teacher Kim unexpectedly saw someone very special to him. In the end, it showed that there will be a prequel, "Master Kim's First Love."
SBS stated that there was a flood of requests from viewers to extend the drama. According to My Drama List, the prequel will focus on untold stories that viewers could not see from the original episodes.
"Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim" ended with lessons to its viewers. When CEO Shin looked at the sunlight and it looked very good that day, it somehow suggests that hope springs eternal.
