Samsung releases a video for its newest near bezel-less AMOLED display.

Samsung released series of video showcasing its new AMOLED display. The nearly bezel-less display is be hinted the latest design of its new Galaxy S8 smartphone.

The advertising videos, as reported byForbes, is from the display division of the Korean company. It shows off the new AMOLED panel which supposedly to be used in Samsung Galaxy S8. The display is nearly bezel-less with a very slim top.

Two promotional videos were released amidst the competition from LG has also prepared the new G6. LG is determined to defeat Samsung, and it is reported that LG is able to cut the bezel for its new smartphone.

According to CNET, the supposedly new smartphone in the advertisement show a high screen-to-body ratio with no home button on the handset. It is also speculated that the fingerprint sensor could be built into the display. However, there is also possibility the advertisement may be a dummy unit to show the display to other OEMs.

Samsung is likely to use its AMOLED screen in the newest product of its Galaxy series which is expected to be released in February. The company has to showcase its superiority over other manufacturers including LG, Huawei and Apple with its latest Samsung Galaxy series.

Moreover, problem with battery in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which caught fire in many incidents around the world has given a headache for the company’s executives. Now is the most important moment for Samsung to regain its customers’ trust by improving quality control for its suppliers.

The new AMOLED display will be the very good starting point for Samsung to recover its reputation. Samsung has developed its enhanced display technologies since 2008 with its research team in collaboration with AU Optronics and DuPont. The company is now continue to improve the quality of its AMOLED display technology.
