The Los Angeles Clippers (28-14) host the Oklahoma City Thunder (25-17) in a high-profile 2016-2017 NBA regular season match on Jan. 16, Monday at the Staples Center.

Oklahoma City has won four of its last five matches as the team remained in the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings. They are now one game behind fifth-seeded squad Utah Jazz and only a half-game ahead of seventh-place team Memphis Grizzlies.

The Thunder turned back a tough challenged from the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night to pull off a 122-118 win on the road at the Golden 1 Center to successfully bounce back from their embarrassing loss to Minnesota in their previous game, as per USA Today.

Russell Westbrook got his 20th triple-double of the season as he produced 36 points on 11-for-21 field goal shooting, 4-for-5 from downtown, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists with four steals.

Victor Oladipo backed him up with 23 points, one board, two assists, two steals, and two blocks as the only other starter in double figures.

Enes Kanter had a great game coming off the bench with a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds with two assists, one steal, and one shot block. Shooting guard Alex Abrines chipped in 13 points and two boards also as a substitute.

Meanwhile, the Clippers are on a roll right now with six straight wins following a six-game losing slide. They are presently fourth in the West, three games ahead of the Thunder and three-and-a-half games behind third-running team Houston Rockets.

In their most recent match last Saturday, the Clips routed their Staples Center co-tenants, Los Angeles Lakers, 113-97, to extend their winning streak to six games, the Los Angeles Times reported.

DeAndre Jordan had a monster game for head coach Doc Rivers' squad with 24 points and 21 rebounds with two blocks while Chris Paul also had a double-double of 20 points and 13 assists with five boards and two steals.

Austin Rivers chipped in 15 points, two assists, and two steals as a starter while JJ Redick had 10 points and two assists. Off the bench, Raymond Felton added 15 points, two rebounds, and four assists.

Prediction 

The Thunder are 10-11 on the road this season while the Clippers are 16-6 at home. The Clips are predicted to win a close one to extend their winning run to seven games.
