The show must go on for Taeyeon during her performance at the 31st Golden Disc Awards. The Girls' Generation member showed her professionalism despite some technical issues while on stage last Friday.

According to Soompi, Taeyeon's performance was mired with audio issues due to miscommunication. Reports stated the idol took a different path while on her way to the stage; hence, the Girls' Generation member had to wear her earpiece while singing.

Many of her fans noticed that Taeyeon was trying to assemble her earpiece while performing "Rain." As a result, fans expressed their disappointment on the staff of the 31st Golden Disc Awards for failing to equip the earpiece.

Meanwhile, some fans commended Taeyeon for showing her professionalism amid technical issues. Others were even calling the idol as the "Queen of Professionalism" for handling such issues gracefully.

On the other hand, the 31st Golden Disc Awards staff released an apology to Taeyeon and fans for causing audio issues. "We made a mistake about the path Taeyeon would take to go on stage, and she ended up going on stage without her ear piece equipped," the staff said.

It continued, "We apologize to Taeyeon and her fans. We are sorry that she couldn't give the perfect performance she had shown us at the rehearsal."

Previously, Taeyeon was also mired in controversy for allegedly cancelling her "See You Again" performance with Wiz Khalifa at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards, Allkpop cited.

The American singer even took to his Twitter account to express his side on the issue, stating that Taeyeon reportedly claimed she had to go to the hospital prior to the performance. Wiz Khalifa added the Korean idol also asked to perform separately from him.

However, Taeyeon denied the accusations and said she never went to the hospital before the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
