With the advent of a "Resident Evil" reboot/sequel on the way, we are brought back into the realm of utter helplessness and spine-tingling fear that should've been present in the previous titles (especially "Resident Evil"). Capcom has been showing us more and more teasers highlighting the completely new approach to the series with the seventh installment and, now, we're looking at a more in-depth - although short - scoop of the Baker family in this new trailer.
According to Gamespot, the new video for "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" invites players to the horrifying mansion of the Baker family - a place truly made of nightmares. The video tagline reads: "Home is safe. Home is love... Welcome home!" As if everybody would fall for that frightening ironic statement.
The video first showcases the eerie and dark environment of the mansion, where players would have to look twice (or even thrice) to see what lurks around the corners. Another sequence in the video brings the players to the dinner table where instead of trying to enjoy a good meal, the menu seems to show human body parts as the only delicacy of the cannibalistic Bakers.
We are all hyped as Capcom decided to somehow "reboot" the entire series with this new approach as opposed to the action-packed spin-offs and previous main titles.
In other news, GameZone reports that anyone who preorders "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" at GameStop or via the Xbox Store will be able to receive the "RE7 Survival Pack" add-on and a digital copy of "Resident Evil: Retribution." The Survival Pack contains a "Supply Box" that houses essential things for the player's survival such as herbs and other first aid items.
We're almost close to the release of the game as "Resident Evil 7" comes out on Jan. 24 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, whereas shortly after, the film "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" comes out on Jan. 27.
