"Goblin," otherwise known as "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," marks another milestone with their recent episodes.

The drama is a mixture of fantasy and romance from TvN which has Gong Yoo, Yoo In-Na, Lee Dong-Wook, and Kim Go Eun as leads. "Goblin" has probably attracted many viewers for the dry humor and superb cinematography that the series has. As cited by Yibada English, Soompi reported that Nielsen Korea recorded a staggering 15 percent rating, with its highest rating so far of 17.2 for its 11th episode.

Despite the overwhelming success of "Goblin," bad reviews have been flocking in different media sites, saying among others that the series touches gender issues such as the portrayal of women as damsel in distress and who can only find comfort from men. For instance, it was posted that a certain culture critic Ha Jae Geun commented that women supporting such characters could lead to a decline in women's social status. Meanwhile, others think that the Phedophilic relationship between Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) and Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun) is disturbing given their age gap difference.

The recent episodes marked a turning point of the story as the backstory of the Grim Reaper and Sunny were already revealed. Previously, episode 12 wrapped up with a revelation that the Grim Reaper was King Wang Yeo in his past life and the one who struck Kim Shin with a sword. According to spoilers, "Goblin" episode 13 might delve on the decision of Shin on whether or not to take revenge to the Grim Reaper, now that he knew he is King Wang Yeo in his past life.

In other news, Yahoo reported that "Goblin" fans can now avail of cutie plush toys featured in the series. The Korean Bonicrew brand, which previously collaborated with the hit TV series "Descendants of the Sun," released their Goblin Bogle family. The available plush toys include Mr. Buckwheat, Poipot, Blue Boglegel, and Blackhug. The price range is from S$14- S$28 and are available in all MINISO stores in Korea and Singapore.

"Goblin" airs every Friday and Saturday at 8:00 PM (KST).
