DinDin has been vocal of his admiration towards BIGBANG's G-Dragon; however, the Korean rapper admitted in an interview that he has been avoiding to meet the idol in person.
During his appearance on "Radio Star" aired Wednesday, DinDin shared there was an instance where he was asked to meet his idol in a gathering. Despite being a huge fan of the BIGBANG member, DinDin admitted he refused the offer to meet the idol.
"After the "MBC Entertainment Awards" in the past, there was a team dinner with the "Real Men" crew. [During dinner], my label CEO, Lee Hyun Do sajangnim, called me and said that he's currently with G-Dragon and invited me to come," he said as per Allkpop.
DinDin went on, "At the time, I was worried that I might get fired from "Real Men" if I leave, so I stayed til the end. But I ended up getting cut from the program anyway."
The rapper admitted he is not ready to meet G-Dragon yet. DinDin added he wanted to become a successful rapper first before meeting his idol in person.
"I had dreams of meeting G-Dragon hyung twice. I hope that we can have a relationship where he gives me a call during times of struggle."
He would even be willing to serve the military again with G-Dragon to be friends with the BIGBANG member.
On the other hand, DinDin said his fans have been supporting him in his admiration towards G-Dragon. The rapper added most of them even give him BIGBANG merchandise as presents on his birthday, Soompi noted.
Some of the presents given to him were BIGBANG albums, posters of G-Dragon as well as official light sticks of the popular boy group. The MCs of "Radio Star" then laughed at DinDin, stating that fans might remember him as a huge BIGBANG fan rather than a rapper.
