Preview

Houston is the NBA's hottest team right now with an ongoing nine-game winning streak. The team has won 20 of their last 22 games which have propelled them to the third spot in the Western Conference standings, two-and-a-half games behind conference leaders Golden State Warriors.

In their most recent game on Tuesday night, the Rockets turned back a tough challenge from the Charlotte Hornets to pull off a 121-114 win at their home court of Toyota Center, as per SB Nation.

James Harden produced a second straight triple-double performance with 40 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists to lead the Rockets to their ninth consecutive victory.

Three other starters have scored in double figures for head coach Mike D'Antoni, namely Trevor Ariza, Montrezl Harrell, and Ryan Anderson with 16, 14, and 13 points respectively. The trio has combined for 10 boards, six assists, and five steals.

Off the bench, Corey Brewer netted 15 points with five rebounds while Nene had 10 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, the Wolves have finally snapped a four-game losing slide with a 101-92 win over the Dallas Mavericks also at the Target Center last Monday, NBC Sports reported.

Karl-Anthony Towns had a monster game with 34 points, shooting 15-for-19 from the field, with 11 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks while Ricky Rubio also had a double-double with 13 points and 15 assists plus five boards and five steals.

Andrew Wiggins contributed 13 points and four rebounds while Gorgui Dieng had 12 points and five boards.

Shabazz Muhammad came off the bench and scored 11 points on 5-for-9 field goal shooting with two rebounds.

The win was only the 12th for head coach Tom Thibodeau's side this season as they are still third from the last place in the West.

Prediction

The Rockers are a dangerous road team with a 15-6 record so far this season while the Wolves are poor at home with a 7-13 slate. Houston is the overwhelming favorite to pull off a lopsided win.
