Idols and actors have pretty hectic schedules, so it might be unsurprising to learn that some of them smoke cigarettes in between breaks. From the popularly known smokers to the more surprising ones, here's a list of K-Pop idols and actors who are smokers.
1. G-Dragon
BIGBANG's G-Dragon is one of the few known smokers in the K-Pop industry. In a recent interview, the singer revealed that one of his resolutions this year is to quit smoking.
During a fan meeting on Jan. 8, BIGBANG's Seungri revealed that the members have made some decisions for the new year. G-Dragon then shared that he's quit smoking as part of his New Year's resolution.
Fans applauded G-Dragon's decision to live a healthier lifestyle. He clarified, however, that he still smokes e-cigarettes and that he's just "taking a break for a bit," allkpop reported.
2. T.O.P
G-Dragon is one of the two members in BIGBANG who are known smokers. In 2016, T.O.P faced criticism after he uploaded a photo on Instagram of him smoking in public. The photo has since been deleted from his account.
T.O.P doesn't hide his smoking habits. As a matter of fact, he can even be seen puffing a cigarette during photo shoots.
3. Kim Soo Hyun
Paparazzi shots of the "My Love From the Star" actor showed him taking a smoke break. In an interview, Kim Soo Hyun revealed that he loved smoking and can smoke as much as one pack on a single day.
4. Kikwang
A photo of a person believed to be Kikwang circulated the internet and stirred a huge buzz when it was noted that the guy in the photo was smoking a cigarette.
5. Taemin
SHINee's maknae was also spotted smoking a cigarette. According to One Hallyu, a photo of Taemin made rounds on the internet and draw concern from fans.
6. Lee Min Ho
The "Legend of the Blue Sea" actor was spotted smoking several time in between takes. During his photo shoot with W Korea magazine, Lee Min Ho was also photograph smoking a cigarette.
7. Tao and Sehun
Although it was never confirmed, there was a photo of Tao and Sehun casually smoking that surfaced the internet. Some fans, however, claimed that the photos were doctored.
8. Hong Jong Hyun
The actor is also one of the known smokers in the industry. At some point, fans noted that he made smoking look good.
9. Onew
Onew was once photographed smoking an e-cigarette. Judging by this, however, it appears that the singer is trying to quit the habit.
10. Minho
SHINee's Minho was never a smoker until he took on the role of Jin Il in the movie "Two Men." His character was a runaway teenager who smokes and drinks. To stay true to his role, Minho had to learn how to smoke. He later developed a habit, and found it difficult to quit. He eventually did.
