BioWare announced a sad news for some of the fans of their "Mass Effect" series, "Mass Effect" Andromeda will not have its Season Pass. The news about this was announced via Twitter by the developer last weekend.
A press release from Tech Buffalo said that the "Mass Effect" Andromeda is giving up to have its own Season Pass. Announced by the BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn, it has been said that they won't be releasing such special subscription for the game.
Flynn was asked if there will a season pass for the "Mass Effect" Andromeda and he quickly answered "Nope." Flynn doesn't even provide a specific detail when he was asked about future DLC's, instead he cited that DLC's will be discussed later.
We may recall that the game's first three installments don't include a season pass as well. Instead, Electronic Arts released a special trilogy bundle, packed with free bonuses, a couple of paid add-ons that can be purchased separately or bundled with a title. There is also the "Mass Effect" 3 Online Pass, but the contents only applied to the multiplayer game mode.
"Mass Effect" Andromeda is the 4th installment of the EA's "Mass Effect" series. The upcoming game will feature several new game mechanics, new game features and gameplay as the developer announced.
"Mass Effect" Andromeda is set to release this March 21st, according to Polygon. Despite of several rumors about its release date, EA finally announced the official date last week and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
Having a season pass is an advantage for those fans or consumers of the game, since it provides some bonuses or a big discount for future DLC's and additional contents. Several fans take advantage on it because they are sure to play the whole game's content.
However, season passes can be bought before the official game launch that would attract fans to buy due to the bigger discount. With this, players and fans are buying the bonuses without having the actual game in hand, and don't even know whether the game would actually meet their expectations.
