The Winchester brothers will be back to explore the dark world of evil hunting. The CW has officially renewed "Supernatural" for Season 13.

Over the weekend, Variety reported that the broadcast network has renewed 7 series included in its fall programming slate for 2017-18 TV season. Joining "Supernatural" are superheroes shows "Arrow," "The Flash," "Supergirl" and "Legends of Tomorrow." "Jane the Virgin" and "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" are also renewed.

"Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas," said CW president Mark Pedowitz in a statement.

"Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long."

The early renewal of "Supernatural" will cement the series as the CW's longest running show to date. It has surpassed "The Vampire Diaries," which is due to end after its current eight season.

Starring Jared Padelecki and Jensen Ackles as two brothers on a mission to haunt down supernatural creatures, the series continues to bring steady ratings for the CW - thanks to the show's strong fanbase. The show's current season opened with a total of 2.1 million viewers, receiving an uptick of 10% from the previous season's premiere.

When the series returns for its midseason premiere, it will pick up after Sam and Dean's arrest for the attempted assassination of the POTUS where the duo must figure out an escape plan. Elsewhere, Mary and Castiel will enlist the assistance of an unlikely source to track them down.

"Supernatural" also stars Mark Sheppard and Misha Collins. Season 12 resumes with an all new episode titled "First Blood" slated to air on Jan. 26 on the CW.
