Five months after its release, the music video of rookie KPop group Black Pink’s futuristic and catchy single “Whistle” has finally reached over 70 million views!

As of January 8, “Whistle” has gained a total of approximately 70,500,000 views and 670,000 likes, says reports. It is the group’s second most viewed music video next to “Boombayah” which has drawn almost 90,000,000 hits.

The music video was released on August 16 of last year in Black Pink’s official YouTube page. It was of the two featured tracks of their debut album titled “Square One”.

Aside from the success of their music videos, the band’s social media pages is also attracting not just thousands, but millions of patrons! Just recently, their Instagram account has reached its 2 million followers mark.

Meanwhile, group members Jennie And Rosé were recently revealed to be the possible muses for the upcoming music video of MBC Every1’s variety show “Hitmaker” new track. The song will be performed by program host Jung Hyung Don together with BEAST member Yong Jun Hyung.

On the January 5 episode of the show, Yong and Jung asked each other if who are their preferred muses for the collaboration song’s music video. And after a moment of pondering, Jung declared that he wanted the girls to be Jennie and Rosé as he has thought of them after listening to the song.

Yong, on the other hand, replied as quoted by Soompi: “I think it’ll match well with Bolbbalgan4. I think it’ll work well if they sang it in a light voice.”

Composed of four members namely Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa, Black Pink made their debut in the industry on August 2016 under the management of label agency YG Entertainment. They are the first girl group to be introduced by the company in seven years after 2NE1.
