Reports claiming that Nam Joo Hyuk has accepted the lead role for "Bride of the Water God" have been denied by the Korean actor-model through his agency, YG Entertainment.
According to Korea Herald, the label admitted Nam Joo Hyuk was offered to play the lead role for the upcoming drama series; however, YG Entertainment added the actor has yet to give his final decision on the matter.
"It is true that Nam Joo Hyuk received an offer to play the male lead of the drama, but nothing has been confirmed yet," the agency saind.
Currently, Nam Joo Hyuk can be seen on "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" with Lee Sung Kyung. In the recent episodes of the MBC drama, Kim Bok Joo and Jung Joon Hyung began to show affection towards each other, Soompi reported.
Jung Joon Hyung even held his girlfriend's hand under a cafeteria table, while Kim Bok Joo was a bit anxious of showing sweetness in front of their colleagues. Reports stated the particular episode was recorded on Dec. 24.
Despite the holiday season, Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk reportedly arrived on the set of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" early in the morning and extended their Christmas greetings to the staff and crew.
"Thanks to the bright, youthful energy on set, we were able to enjoy filming despite it being busy time of year. Viewers will be able to see the newly formed couple slowly reveal their relationship to the public in the upcoming episode," Chorokbaem Media said.
Lee Sung Kyung earned the Excellence Award and Actress in a Miniseries, while Nam Joo Hyuk won the Best New Actor award at the 35th MBC Drama Awards for their roles in the drama series.
"Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" was released on Nov. 16 and is scheduled to air its final episode on Jan. 12 at 22:00 KST.
