Just a few more days before the highly anticipated "31st Golden Disc Awards," the K-Pop industry is all set for the two-day event which will be held at Kintex in Ilsan, Gyeonggi on Jan. 13-14.

According to Soompi, several names including Kang Sora, Sung Si Kyung, Seohyun, Jung Yong Hwa and Hwang Chi Yeul were confirmed to host the "31st Golden Disc Awards." Kang's label announced the actress will be the host on the second day of the annual event alongside Sung.

On the other hand, Girls' Generation's Seohyun, CNBLUE's Jung and Hwang are confirmed to be the MCs on the first day of the "31st Golden Disc Awards."

Korea Joongang Daily cited the "31st Golden Disc Awards" will recognize outstanding K-Pop artists according to three categories: album, digital, and rookie artists. Further reports stated physical albums and digital divisions will have 30 nominees, while 12 candidates will battle it out for the Rookie of the Year award.

Some groups who are nominated for the best-selling album award include 2PM for "Gentlemen's Game," B1A4's album "Good Timing," "Carnival" by B.A.P, and a lot more, while candidates for digital media include Gary with "Lonely Night," "10cm with "What The Spring," and "Breath" by Park Hyo Shin.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, Gugudan and Snuper have been listed for the Rookie of the Year award at the "31st Golden Disc Awards."

The annual event has also sought the participation of the fans in choosing for the most popular artist in 2016; hence, the "31st Golden Disc Awards" has opened a survey for the recognition.

Reports claimed SHINee was leading the poll with 31.8 percent as of 5:00 pm of Dec. 31. The boy group was followed by Kim Jae Joong with 31.4 percent of the total votes. Fans still have plenty of time to vote for their idols until Jan. 12.
