JYJ’s Jaejoong reveals TWICE and Black Pink gave him strength during enlistment; Unveils future promotional activities

JYJ's Jaejoong recently finished his mandatory military enlistment. The 30-year old singer previously enlisted in the army in March 2015.

On Dec. 30, Kim Jae-jong better known by his stage name Jaejoong was discharged from the 55th Infantry Division of the army in Gyeonggi Province. Jaejoong served as an active duty soldier for 21 months and was even a member of the military band.

During the ceremony, Jaejoong expressed his gratitude towards his fans, comrades, and the people outside who have waited and supported him throughout his journey. Being older than than the friends he trained with, Jaejoong revealed that he tried to work harder.

The singer also shared, "There are too many people I'd like to see, but I want to meet up with my family, staff, and friends. What I've wanted to do most was to see my fans; I'm glad that there will be a fan meeting tomorrow," Soompi reported.

A fan meeting is set to commence on Dec. 31 at COEX Live Plaza in Gangnam, Seoul. The event is to celebrate Jaejoong's discharge from his enlistment.

Furthermore, among the questions asked during the ceremony, one of it was about girl groups that helped him gain strength during his enlistment. "A lot of girl group were encouraging but TWICE and Black Pink are the most popular," as revealed by Allkpop.

Various events are lined up for Jaejoong's fans this new year. The singer unveiled that following his fan meeting event at COEX Plaza, he is considering to hold a concert or tour event for his fans in the future.

On the day of his discharged, around 500 local and foreign fans gathered and brave the freezing weather in front of the military base early morning just to congratulate Jaejoong from his discharged. Jaejoong is the first JYJ member to have completed his military service, while Park Yoochun is currently enlisted as a public service worker and Kim Junsu to enlist on Feb. 9, 2017.
