Connected superhero series that deals with time travel will naturally have some time line problem in the future. CW's "Legends of Tomorrow" and "Flash" have created some concern for fans as the changes they made through time travel have some changes in the characters that could jeopardize the storyline and its plot in the future.

The "Flashpoint" Conundrum (Warning: Spoilers)

It all begins with the titular character's decision to use time travel to fix some problems. This is a huge risk for CW and DC and it paid off - the series gave itself a golden ticket to get Flash into some very interesting storyline while setting up his relationship with "Legends of Tomorrow" through Star City 2046.

But the future in "Legends of Tomorrow" features John Diggle Jr. as one of the Green Arrows (the other is Oliver Queen). This is where the problem starts - according to Screen Crush the time line jumping super heroes acknowledge John Diggle Jr. (also known as Connor Hawke), "Flash" features Sarah Diggle. At Flashpoint, Barry's actions have replaced Sarah with John but there's no clear definition on how it could affect the present.

No Answer for Now

According to Entertainment Weekly, the series writers have acknowledge this time travel problem but questions about the relationship of John Diggle Jr., Connor Hawke and Sarah could not be easily answered. Show runner Marc Guggenheim noted that it would require additional attention to finally address the concerns but it's not going to be addressed soon.

Fans of "Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow" and other superhero series from CW will most likely wait for a season or two so the writers could finally answer the time travel - relation problem. For now, both series are going back to its roots and should offer plenty of action before finally dealing with some problem created by Barry after Flashpoint.
