Amazon Echo is a hardware device that can be bought from Amazon.  It is a voice-generated computer and virtual assistant rolled into one.

The Amazon Echo can basically do everything, according to Wired.  From asking what the weather is, asking her to the play music, to asking any kind of questions, Amazon Echo is ready to respond and do the tasks she is asked.

To start, the Amazon Echo must be placed eight inches away from the walls and windows. It must be located in a central location. The Echo can be placed anywhere, on the kitchen countertop, in the living room, or wherever the user would fancy.

Here are the steps:

First, the users must download the Alexa app.

They may use the tablet computers or smartphones according to Amazon.  The OS versions the users may use include the Fire OS 2.0 or higher, Android 4.4 or higher, or iOS 8.0 or higher.  The app stores where they may avail the Alexa app are from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App store.

Users may also use the WiFi-enabled Mac or the personal computers to setup the Echo and download the Alexa app.  They can go to https://alexa.amazon.com using Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Internet Explorer (10 or higher), then download the Alexa app.

The second step is to plug the Amazon Echo into the power outlet.

Eventually, the blue ring would appear on top and then the orange light would illuminate.  Thereafter, Echo would greet the user.

The third step is to connect the Echo to the Wi-Fi connection.

There is a guide in the Alexa app where the user can follow.  If the Echo did not connect, the user can unplug the device and re-plug it again.

It would then reset and the user can reconnect again. If it doesn't connect to the Wi-Fi, the user the Echo can reset to its factory settings.

The fourth and final step is to talk to Alexa.

The user would have to utter the words "wake word". The Echo device would respond by default, uttering the word "Alexa".

If the users would want to change that, they could just go to that Alexa app, go to settings, and then select the Wake word. All-in-all, the Amazon Echo can do over 3,000 tasks.
