Just a few days before the year ends, JYP Entertainment's CEO, Jung Wook, sat down to reveal the performance of his artists for the year 2016.

Allkpop reported Jung Wook said he is satisfied with the performance of TWICE this year, pointing out the girl group's hit track "Cheer Up." The CEO said, "TWICE's "Cheer Up" ranking first place in the yearly chart symbolizes that JYP Entertainment is properly entering the new stage."

Jung Wook went on, "TWICE was the first group that we produced after we changed our system. This is just the beginning for TWICE. They should stay humble because they still have a long way to go."

"As for their achievements, they've done far better than expected. The execution was better than we planned," the JYP head added.

He also revealed the top-earning JYP artists for this year, stating that 2PM topped the list, followed by Suzy and GOT7 at numbers 2 and 3, respectively. While TWICE took the fourth spot in terms of profit.

Given the ranking, Jung Wook said TWICE will have more possibilities of increasing their sales as the growth model of the company improves. Despite a few setbacks, the CEO assured JYP's system is more solid right now.

On the other hand, 2PM's performance this year can be attributed to their popularity in Japan. According to Yonhap, the boy group was branded as the most fan favorite during the KCON 2016 Japan.

2PM even performed the closing act on the second day of the event that was held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Tokyo. Thousands of fans came to witness 2PM's performance alongside other artists like TWICE, AOA, BOYFRIEND, BLOCK B and more.

Among the performances, majority of the fans inside the arena named 2PM as their favorite artist. Watch their performance at the KCON 2016 Japan.
