Washington Wizards point guard John Wall could be available for the Miami Heat before this season's trade deadline, according to latest trade rumors.

With all their superstars now gone, the Heat are currently having a dismal season. Miami is third from the last place in the Eastern Conference with a 7-17 record at the moment and things look bleak for the former two-time NBA champions this season.

The team is being led by the inside-outside pair of Hassan White and Goran Dragic, but the duo seemed to be not enough to make the Heat qualify for the playoffs in April.

Speculations abound that team president Pat Riley could push the full-rebuild button this season to begin the journey of going back to their lofty position as one of the elites in the league and Whiteside and Dragic are said to be the club's top two trade assets as well.

South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman said that a possible trade between the Heat and Wizards could happen soon with Miami offering Dragic and Justise Winslow for Wall and Otto Porter.

Winderman admitted, though, he is "not sure the Wizards wouldn't value Porter more than Winslow" and so the trade is still highly unlikely to happen.

The Wizards are also having issues with Wall at the moment as rumors have emerged that the former top draft pick is "unhappy" about his situation in Washington, particularly with regards to his teammates.

Winderman noted that Riley has a way of luring disgruntled players to their side and Wall could be his next target in the coming trade season.

Fansided indicated that Wall's discontent "could open the way for a Miami Heat move", but acquiring Wall will not be that easy for Miami.

For one, the Heat does not have that much trade assets to offer, except for Whiteside and Dragic as aforementioned, so it is unclear whether they have anything the Wizards would want at this time.

Another reason why a deal is unlikely is that the NBA prohibits a team from dealing future first-round picks two years in a row. Miami had already used their 2018 first-round pick to acquire Dragic and so they cannot sweeten any deal with Washington with next summer's pick.

It would be interesting to follow Wall's situation in Washington, though, and if the Heat would pursue him before this season's trade deadline.
