South Korean singer, actress and model Youngji talked about her “Oh Hae Young Again” co-star Heo Jung Min in the December 6 episode of SBS Power FM's “Cultwo Show”.

Youngji was asked by program host DJ Cultwo if Heo has indeed asked her hand during the get together for the show. As a response, the Hallyu star confirmed the incident and revealed that she had turned down her co-actor’s proposal.

"I saw that he explained himself. He said that in the next drama he does, he can't play a married man unless he's dating his onscreen wife. He said that's why he took the role," said Youngji as quoted by All KPop.

She jokingly added: "It seems like it. I was used. I sternly refused him back then."

In her past interviews, Youngji had opened up about the age preference when it comes to the man she is going to date in the future. According to the Hallyu star as quoted by All Kpop: "It doesn't matter to me as long as I have feelings for him. I don't care even if he's decades older. I don't think it's a bad thing”.

"I'm okay with younger men too. I think it'd be difficult if he was younger than I am though," she further said.

Before her official debut in the entertainment industry, Youngji had been a trainee of at the talent management agency Core Contents Media. Joining her in the label is T-ara's ex-member Areum.

In 2014, she joined “Kara Project”, a reality TV show in search for new members of the girl group Kara after the members Nicole Jung and Kang Ji Young left the group. Youngji won the competition after garnering a total score of 49,591.

After a couple of years, Kara announced their disbandment after Gyuri, Seungyeon and Hara's contract with their label DSP Media has expired. However, the agency assured the public that they will continue supporting Youngji’s solo career.
