The saga of the powerful Saiyans continue with 'Dragon Ball Super.' But the latest episode points to a totally different direction as it features totally something unexpected although all too familiar to the fans of anime series especially to the people running behind the highly successful anime series.

Arale's Back!

One of the most notable characters in the latest episode of "Dragon Ball Super." In the episode, she was introduced as Dr. Senbei's creation hyped to have additional power that could destroy the Earth while pretending it was just another playtime. Vegeta tried to stop her to no avail and Goku, who was working as a security guard for some reason, also tried to match up to her power.

For the unfamiliar, Arale is the creator of Dr. Senbei according to the Reddit discussion on the latest episode. She first appeared in 'Dragon Ball' series where she had the physical capability to go toe-to-toe with Son Goku. Her latest appearance was on episode 43 in "Dragon Ball Super."

The fight between Arale and Son Goku could have been devastating to the Earth. But with the help of Beerus, the fight ended due to an unexpected reason.

Episode Filler

The review on Anime News Network on the latest episode clearly points out that the latest episode is practically a one-off gag reel featuring a character from the past. This is also a clear indication that the episodes of "Dragon Ball Super" still has Akira Toriyama's sense of humor in mind. The episode is practically a reminder that all these is just another anime series that doesn't just focus on the mythos of the fighting but also on humor.

Episode 70 will also feature the same type of humor and just like in episode 69, Vegeta will still have a hard time having fun as he resigns to the 4th wall humor of another one-off gag for the audience to take the series lightly. But the series will pick-up steam once the story continues in the future episodes.
