Elon Musk, founder of revolutionary tech companies such as SpaceX and Tesla is now the most admired tech leader in the industry. A recent survey of other tech industry founders pegged the popular tech entrepreneur as the one they look up the most - beating other leaders in the industry, past and present.
Most Admired in the World and Other Results
Venture firm First Round recently conducted a survey with more than 700 tech founders around the world. The results of their survey was recently posted online with very interesting results. Among them is the fact that Elon Musk just beat other tech founders such as Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg as well as the highly revered former CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs.
Musk made a mark in the tech industry not through websites, mobile phones and e-commerce as he focused his efforts on electronic cars currently regarded as one of the best in the world. Tesla Motors is one of the leading electronic car maker company in the world which pushes the boundary on what an electronically powered car could do. Tesla's latest effort: a self-driving car that could work with minimal human interaction.
Mission to Mars
But powering energy efficient, self-driving cars isn't the only mission of Musk. He's also busy working on a rocket that could send people to Mars. His company SpaceX is currently going through various test flight and even though numerous testing show failure on landing, Musk and his team is about to test their rocket named Falcon 9 once again on Dec. 19 according to Space News.
These efforts have made Musk one of the greatly admired tech founders of the world. Instead of focusing on online, mobile products and/or e-commerce, he focused on something bigger and bolder unseen in the tech industry until now.
