New Nokia Pixel Smartphone Soon to be Released; Will It Bring Nokia Back to Glory?

Nokia will be coming back again with their upcoming Nokia Pixel phone. It is likely to be released in February 2017 at the Mobile World Congress.

They are said to be released as budget phones. The Nokia Pixel phones are dubbed to be entry-level phones. In a test done on the Nokia Pixel phones, it only got a very moderate score of 404 in the single-core and 661 in the multi-core.

They only have mediocre specifications. It merely carries a dual-core processor. They will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and they would have a 1 GB RAM. Nokia will throw in a 2200mAh battery into it.

The CPU is a dual-core variant and will have a clock speed of 1.19GHz. The Nokia Pixel device will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Additionally, the flagship smartphones will be supported by the innovative Quick Charge 3.0 technology to charge the battery. The Nokia Pixel will sport a 1920 x 1080 pixel screen resolution and a 5.2-inch touch screen with a 2K display according to The Indian Express. The primary camera will be 13 megapixels and the front facing camera is 8 megapixels.

The Nokia Pixel will have a metal uni-body design. It will also carry a waterproof certification, The Star Online reported. Just like in the Lumia Nokia phone, it will feature the Carl Zeiss lens.

HMD Global is the company behind the comeback of Nokia. HMD Global, a Finland-based company signed a contract with Nokia Technologies.

The cutting-edge technology and licensing unit of Nokia Corporation granted this company the right to manufacture Nokia brand phones and tablets in the course of ten years. HMD Global aims to take Nokia to the global reach by manufacturing high-quality and stunningly designed phones and tablets.

In addition to the Nokia Pixel, they will also release three more flagship smartphones.  These are the Nokia D1C, Nokia 5320 and Nokia 1490. They are also expected to be launched next year at the Mobile World Congress. The Nokia Pixel lineup is expected to replace the Asha series.

Rumormongers say that the Nokia Pixel will likely change its name before its launch. Its price could play around $40 to $50 which is definitely a good deal.
