"Lucifer" enlists "White Collar" actor Tim DeKay to guest star in Season 2.

According to TV Line, DeKay has been tapped to play Dr. Jacob Carlisle, a brilliant neuroscience professor who will appear in episodes 12 and 13 of Lucifer Season 2. Further, the site teased that his encounter with Lucifer will have "deadly" ramifications on someone the Devil cares about. The airdate of DeKay's first episode is yet to be announced.

In addition to "Lucifer," DeKay will also be seen next in the upcoming third season of ABC's "American Crime." His other TV credits include "Second Chance" and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD."

"Lucifer" will return with its midseason finale episode next Monday (airing Nov. 28th). According to the plot synopsis, the next installment titled "Quid Pro Ho" will find Charlotte turning Chloe against Lucifer in order to get his son to leave Earth.
