Following the controversial yet successful first two episodes of "The Legend Of The Blue Sea," the production staff has laid down a few thing we would like to know about the mermaid drama.

In a report by Soompi, the production staff hinted about the reasons behind the color of Jun Ji Hyun's tail, explaining that Lee Min Ho's characters in the past and present time on "The Legend Of The Blue Sea" will have a relationship with mermaids that has golden and silver tails.

"The two stories will unfold side by side and soon the viewers will understand how they are related" the production staff said.

The production staff of "The Legend Of The Blue Sea" also revealed the effects of mermaids on human, which was slightly shown in the episodes one and two of the mermaid drama.

The fantasy drama has shown how the mermaids were able to learn the human language, making them able to communicate like the normal people. Also, mermaids can protect themselves from human attacks by taking away a person's soul and memory.

On the other hand, the production staff also shared how hard it was for Jun during the preparation for her mermaid character on "The Legend Of The Blue Sea." The popular actress even had to practice performing underwater, stating the Jun has to perform this difficult act naturally.

"To make her job more difficult, the CGI that needed to be added later meant that she had to perform in a green chroma mermaid suit. Despite the lack of oxygen, the water pressure, and potential hypothermia, Jun Ji Hyun impressed the staff with her dedication to her craft," the production staff added.

After airing two episodes, "The Legend Of The Blue Sea" has been receiving mixed feedbacks from the viewers and critics. The latter said the mermaid drama needs to improve its editing, while the viewers are not so happy with the chemistry of Lee and Jun, Korea Times cited.

Having a viewership of 16.4 and 15.1 percent for the first two episodes, some viewers are in doubt whether "The Legend Of The Blue Sea" is just a much-hyped drama series.
