The new season for "Stranger Things" has been slowly on the rise as news of the Netflix original horror thriller series continually pop out. Right now, we're hearing some more news on new cast members for Season 2.

According to Entertainment Weekly, first to be introduced into the series is Bob Newby. As Netflix officially describes, he is a "kindhearted former nerd" who was schoolmates with Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour). Bob Newby is now manager of a RadioShack in Hawkins, Indiana. The character is played by none other than Sean Astin (who played as Samwise Gamgee in "The Lord of the Rings" films).

Next up is Dr. Owens, who's played by Paul Reiser ("Aliens," "Whiplash"). The character currently works as an employee in the Department of Energy to help "clear up" things, assisting in "containing the events of last year." Just a reminder, "Stranger Things" Season 2 takes place a year after the events in the first season, making it 1984.

And then we finally have the character Roman, who is an "emotionally damaged, magnetic young woman who suffered a great loss as a child. Although she does not live in Hawkins, she is mysteriously connected to the supernatural events at the lab," according to Netflix's official description. The woman is said to be a particularly interesting character who will be played by Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen.

So far the plot for Season 2 has not been fully detailed out yet, but others joining in the fray are actors "Power Rangers" and "American Odyssey," according to Gamespot. Even Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is said to return in the second season of "Stranger Things."
