Millions of fans have been clamoring for the actual release of "Half-Life 3."  We've been hearing about it being released on 2018, Valve's office moving to a much larger space, the game to possibly support VR capabilities, and to even celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. But what about actual announcements or news, at least?

Valve hasn't been one to reveal much about its own classic games like "Half-Life" and "Left 4 Dead" recently. Some even doubt that these games are actually being made. But recent leaks reveal that the game might be in the works in spite of the lack of official news.

GameSpresso reports that third party Valve News Network and some other reports have may have hinted at the game's progress along with a few new interesting features. These details labeled "HLVR" may have been accidentally leaked along with one of "DOTA 2's" recent updates.

Basing this on an earlier article, it was hinted that HTC and Valve have been working together for a virtual reality project. Other reports also hint that HTC chairwoman Cher Wang announced that they are working on a possible "Half-Life" project with Valve. It is unsure though that this is the actual progress development of the third installment.

Story-wise, the game might take place possibly in the arctic regions, probably in the Kraken Base, one of Valve's cut content prior to the release of "Half-Life 2." Since there was also the mention of Aperture Science from the "Portal" games, we have yet to see how the "Portal" concept will connect with "Half-Life 3."
