In an episode of "Ji Sang Yeol's Bravo Bravo" aired on Oct. 25, Hong Suk Chun candidly shared a moment when he saw Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho on a date, particularly in his own restaurant.
Hong, who owns a restaurant in Itaewon, was asked by DJ Ji Sang Yeol about his restaurant, which seemed to be popular among K-pop idols. "I feel like your restaurant is a dating spot for many celebrity couples. Am I right?" DJ Ji told Hong as per Allkpop.
Addressing the question, Hong revealed he spotted Girls' Generation member Sooyoung and actor Jung celebrating their special day in his restaurant. "Jung Kyung Ho and Sooyoung visited my restaurant and celebrated their 4th anniversary there."
Prior to going public, Sooyoung denied her relationship with Jung since they are still trying to figure out each other when the news broke, Soompi noted. "I think I didn't know how to handle it. Since [Jung Kyung Ho] is the first person I have dated, I think I didn't know how to feel," Sooyoung said.
The Girls' Generation member continued, "Personally, I didn't have a clear idea on what my position [in my career] was, and I wanted to officially pave the way to be an actress. I didn't want a modifier to my name (i.e. Jung Kyung Ho's girlfriend)."
Sooyoung and Jung made their relationship public in 2014. Before their agencies confirmed their status, the two artists have been rumored to be seeing each other several times, raising speculations that they are in a relationship.
However, the two idols denied and said they were just close friends. Later, both parties confirmed Sooyoung and Jung took their friendship to the next level.
