10. "My Wife is a Gangster 2"

In 2003, Zhang Ziyi played the Triad Boss in South Korean action comedy sequel "My Wife is a Gangster 2." It was directed by Jeong Heung-sun and starred Shin Eun-Kyung, Park Jun Gyu and Jang Se-jin.

In 2010, Zhang won First Youth Film Festival's Most Popular Actress award and earned Best Actress nomination from Iron Elephant Film Awards for "Sophie's Revenge."

Released on Dec. 2, 2014, "The Crossing" was directed by John Woo and written by Wang Hui-Liung. It starred Zhang opposite Japanese-Taiwanese actor Takeshiro Kaneshiro and South Korean Song Hye-kyo.

4. "House of Flying Daggers"

Kaneshiro and Hong Kong Chinese actor Andy Lau were Zhang's co-stars in "House of Flying Daggers." For her performance in the film, Zhang was nominated Best Actress at the BAFTA Awards 2005 but she lost to "Walk the Line" star Reese Witherspoon, who is currently filming "Big Little Lies" with Nicole Kidman, Celebuzz reported.

3. "Rush Hour 2"

Released on Aug. 3, 2001, "Rush Hour 2" starred Zhang with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. It earned Zhang a Favorite Female Butt Kicker nomination from Kids' Choice Awards in 2002 but she lost to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar, who recently created a culinary lifestyle brand called Foodstirs with Gia Russo and Galit Laibow, Fox 11 reported.

2. "Memoirs of a Geisha"

Directed by Rob Marshall and written by Robin Swicord based on Arthur Golden's book, "Memoirs of a Geisha" earned Zhang several nominations including those from Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards and BAFTA Awards in 2006. It starred Zhang, Michelle Yeoh and Ken Watanabe.

1. "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"

Directed by Ang Lee, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" won Best Foreign Language Film for Taiwan at the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes in 2001. It starred Zhang opposite Chow Yun-Fat and Yeoh.

Neither Zhang nor Chow is returning in the sequel "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny," which is set to hit theaters on Feb. 26. Yeoh, on the other hand, is reprising her role as Yu Shu Lien with Donnie Yen, Harry Shum Jr. and Jason Scott Lee in the new cast.
