The premiere episode of the seventh season of "The Walking Dead" killed off two characters leaving fans from all over the world broken-hearted, but all the more reason to tune in to the show because it finally gets exciting.

Fan favorites Abraham Ford and Glenn Rhee met bloodthirsty Lucille. While Abraham's death had some rolling their eyes because it was expected and widely speculated, Glenn's was the hard one to take what with the fake death last season which made a lot of people question whether the showrunner and creator have the balls to kill a character that's been in the series since Season 1.

Glenn's death was the hardest to take. One review even described it as "torture porn" that left viewers "unclean, dirty, and sick to the stomach," Forbes reported. His death was upsetting because of the way he died. Like Abraham, he was also bludgeoned to the head but it was something that viewers wouldn't want to see because it was "just gross".

What tore the fans' hearts out was that after the first blow and while his head was bloodied and left eye popped out, he said "Maggie, I'll find you" while talking to his pregnant wife. If the showrunner made a valiant, romantic effort to make Glenn's death more poetic, it failed.

After the delivery of the promised deaths fans can now expect a more exciting season, which the previous one has been deplete off. Negan's actions only mean Rick is no longer in command but it also means other characters will definitely be given development as some of them are resolute for vengeance.

The showrunner will not be making every Sunday night depressing and must have something or someone to replace the loss that the deaths have caused but they must start the rebuilding/healing process very soon in order to gain the traction they have lost over the boring Season 6, Rolling Stone reported.

But while "an eye for an eye" has gotten the group into this mess, maybe they will finally heed Morgan's advice that violence can turn the whole world blind.

More interesting characters will also make an appearance this season including King Ezekiel and fans need to watch out for that this Sunday at 9 pm.
