"Gotham" actress Lori Petty returns as Lolly Whitehill in "Orange Is the New Black" Season 5. There are speculations that another major character Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) is going to die this coming season.

Rumors are circulating that Chapman will die in the upcoming installment "Orange Is the New Black" Season 5, as iDigital Times reported. Other cast members are expected to step up once the series returns.

In "Orange Is the New Black" Season 4, Chapman had made enemies among Litchfield's Latina population. The final episodes showed the inmates rising up in a violent protest where possible accidental deaths could result. Chapman could be among them, making a shocking plot twist in the series.

The death of Poussey Washington (Samira Wiley) in the finale of "Orange Is the New Black" Season 4 pointed over a strong connection with the life of Baxter "Gerber" Bayley (Alan Aisenberg). It definitely throws light on the pitiable justice system in the country.

Petty will be joined with almost all of the Litchfield's women in "Orange Is the New Black" Season 5. Among them are Alex Vause (Laura Prepon), Galina "Red" Reznikov (Kate Mulgrew), and Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren (Uzo Aduba). Other cast members include Michael Harney (Sam Healy), Danielle Brooks (Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson), and Dascha Polanco (Dayanara Diaz).

According to Variety, "Orange Is the New Black" has already got renewed for three seasons from Netflix, despite rumors that Season 5 is the final season. The showrunner Jenji Kohan made a statement back in February that the series has been renewed until Season 7, conveying an immense amount of support from fans and online streaming service.

"Orange Is the New Black" Season 5 is set to go on air on Netflix sometime in June 2017.
