Apple is still tweaking its iPad Air 3 and here are the predicted specifications and details of the new gadgets. Is it the new tablet version of iPhone 7 and how it differs from iPad Air 2 and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro?

Rumors are circulating about the iPad Air 3 specifications and details, as according to Mac World, iPad Air 3 was predicted to release October last year. Apple is also predicted to tweak the 9.7in iPad Air 3 in thickness from previous version. iPad Air 2 is only 6.1mm thin, compared to 7.5mm of the iPad Air. Therefore, we expect iPad Air 3 to be thinner than iPad Air 2.

While we also expect the iPad Air 3 to be powered with A10 chip, instead of A9 chip. As for the screen resolution, Apple is predicted to use its standard 2048x1536 resolution for its 9.7in screen, which equal to 264ppi pixel density.

This launching prediction was made based on the company's behavior. When iPad Air 1 was announced on Oct. 22, 2013, Apple released the gadget early November. While for iPad Air 2, Apple made the announcement and launched simultaneously on Oct. 16 and 22.

However, Apple made a change of behavior last year when announcing the 12.9 inch version of iPad Pro in September and launched the gadget in November. Its next version, iPad Pro 9.7 inch was announced and released in March 2016.

The rumor of iPad Air 3 was again circulating in June 2016 when many retailers in the U.S. is sellingthe iPad Air 2 with a $250 discount. But, yet again the iPad Air 3 is nowhere to be found. Some began to speculate that Apple will discontinue the Air line of product.

The question whether Apple discontinue its Air product line is also reported by PC Advisor. However, according to the prediction, if Apple decided to launch iPad Air 3 this year, it will be sold at the standard price of full-size iPad of $512 (£399) for the WiFi-only 16GB model. While if the company launched the product next year, the price will be $409 (£319), and $512 (£399) for 32 GB model.

Up to now, we still wait for Apple to finalize its design of the iPad Air 3 and its launching schedule.
