Philadelphia 76ers has to deal with the abundance of big man in its front court, as the team has three centers, which is too many for one team. Meanwhile, player has started to complain about the situation.

Nerlens Noel, one of the centers expressed his frustration to the team condition in the NBA media day. He said the team with three starting centers does not make any sense.

"I think it's just silly . . . this situation that we are in now with three starting centers," Noel said as quoted by the Philadelphia Inquirer. He also expressed his hope that the departure of general manager and presiden Sam Hinkie will bring something good for him

When Noel was asked whether he demanded to be traded, he just said that he wanted the management to do something with the current situation. In the current roster, Sixers has three potential starting centers in the team. Noel has to compete with Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor for playing time.

The three of them are high draft picks. Noel was drafted sixth overall in 2013, while Embid was the third overall pick in 2014, and Okafor was the third overall pick in 2015. There are rumors circulating that Sixers will trade either Okafor or Noel. But Sixers would want a high price tag for them because of their high draft picks, and until now neither Okafor or Noel are in the trade list yet.

The overcrowded frontcourt also occur in the forward position. Sixers currently has drafted the Ben Simmons the 6'10" forward from LSU, and 6'10" forward from Croatia Dario Saric. Earlier this month, Sixers signed veteran forward Elton Brand to join the team and guide young players.

Brand is well-known for versatility in defending the rim. He has a long wingspan and athleticism that make his very efficient in rebound and shot block. He is recorded as one of the elite rebounder in the history of NBA who has made more than 9,000 rebounds in his career.

Philadelphia 76ers will tip-off the NBA preseason on Oct. 4 with against the Boston Celtics at the Mullins Center on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
